Argyriou Winery

Nikos Argyrios' love for good wine and his knowledge of agricultural production created the first vineyards in 1998. To date, the total area has reached 290 acres, which is enough to cover the creation of the estate's wines exclusively from privately owned vineyards. . The Argyrio winery was created in 2002, when the first winemaking of the white and red "Erochos" took place. Today, the estate produces 9 different types of wine, emphasizing both the cultivation of forgotten Greek varieties and the emergence of special characteristics of international varieties.Nikos Argyriou was born in Polydroso, Parnassos and his family's occupation was farming. Since 1982 his activities have been related to the cultivation of tobacco and other agricultural products and this shows his relationship with the land and its cultivation. The appropriate soil-climatic conditions of the Parnassos region, ideal for the cultivation of not only Greek but also international varieties that bring excellent results, contributed to this decision to a large extent. The winemaker has passed on his love and passion for wine to his family, who support this effort, as well as to those who work with the estate.
