The winery was founded in 1994 by Maria and Dionysis Papanikolopoulos as a result of their close involvement with amateur wine production for many years. Their love and respect for the traditional methods of cultivation and winemaking but also for the indigenous varieties of the island, was a key guide throughout the course of the winery. Today the winery is managed by their son, Vassilis Papanikolopoulos, a qualified Chemical Engineer, with the main goal of preserving and promoting local varieties of Lefkada that are in danger of extinction. The winery mainly produces natural and organic wines that reveal all the special characteristics of the island's land.
